This English sterling sugar vase is marked with the London date mark for 1775-1776, a crowned leopard's head, and a maker's mark that is difficult to read, as it has been double-struck. The vase has a freely-moving handle and a hand-blown cobalt glass liner that fits tightly and appears to be original to the vase. It measures 7 1/2 inches in height to the top of the handle and is 4 1/4 inches in diameter at the lip. We will be happy to scan the maker's mark and email it to any interested persons.

An English sterling tea and coffee service made by Joseph Angell, Sr. and Joseph Angle, Jr. of London, 1849-50. All of the pieces are very finely engraved with gothic motifs, columns, trailing vines, and time figures and animals. The set is in remarkably fine condition and has never been monogrammed.
