This paper knife has an ornate cast top with a floral, foliate, and scroll pattern. The front is engraved with an ornate, multi-lined, Art Nouveau style script with "1893," "EAE" in intertwined script, and February 5th/ TO/ March 9th." The back is engraved in script "I must be going." Condition is excellent, with minor surface scratches throughout.

It is 8 1/2 inches in length, and 1 3/4 inches in width at its widest point.
The back is marked "THEO B. STARR/ Shiebler logo mark/ STERLING/ 4143."
