This hexagonal tea caddy has a domed, hinged lid with an urn-shaped finial. The lid and the body's panels are decorated with ornate floral and foliate scrolls and pendants. The center front cartouche is monogrammed "PLL" in cipher-style script. The tea caddy is 5 1/4 inches in height, 4 7/8 inches in length, and 4 inches in width. The underside is marked "GELSTON & TREADWELL/ N.Y./ J.C.M." Condition is excellent, with no evidence of monogram removals, repairs, or replacements. There are a few minor pinpoint dents visible on the underside.
