A rare American Coin silver spaghetti server with a bird finial $7,500.00
This rare spaghetti server has a cast handle begins with a bird’s claw which holds the blade then continue up as a branch to a loop at the top. A cast bird is positioned in the loop. The textured gold washed blade is formed as a stylized bird’s wing engraved with ivy leaves.
This server, which is unmarked, is generally attributed to the Whiting Manufacturing Company. At the time it was made it would’ve been called a spaghetti knife rather than a server.
Length: 10 1/2 inches
Condition: very fine.
